Thursday, May 3, 2018: Communications Priorities of the U.S. Bishops

Please join us for our webinar with James Rogers, chief communications officer for the USCCB. Rogers will talk about the the work of the bishops’ communications committee, chaired by Bishop Christopher J. Coyne. Rogers will provide an update on efforts made on the five communications priorities approved by the U.S. bishops in their three-year strategic plan. does, and how CPA members can be involved in its work of supporting Catholic communicators globally.

Thursday, May 17, 2018: Catholic Vision of Marriage and Human Sexuality

In this webinar Helen Alvare will share ideas on how to present in an attractive way the Catholic vision of marriage and human sexuality.

Helen Alvare is a professor of Law at George Mason University School of Law, where she teaches Family Law, Law and Religion, and Property Law. She also is a columnist for America Magazine and a consultor for the Pontifical Council of the Laity.

Thursday, May 24, 2018: Creativity in Writing

Katie Scott, special projects reporter for the Catholic Sentinel in Portland, Oregon, will show us how to become more creative in our writing.

Scott was honored by the Catholic Press Association in 2017 with a second place award for Writer of the Year. Judges described her as telling "tough, challenging stories, and she tells stories that touch the heart. The common thread is that in both kinds, her storytelling is excellent."
